- Field size: 27yds X 46yds (approx)
- Field markings: 6.6yd X 16yd penalty box (all marking marked by cones)
- Game length: 2 - 20 min halves w/ running clock. 3-5 minute half time.
- Timeouts: 1 - one minute timeout per team, per half -- must be in possession of the ball to request a timeout (clock continues to run)
- Subbing: On-the-fly. Must wait for player to exit before new player enters. Must enter / exit near center line on coach side of the field.
- Slide tackling: Illegal (except by GK)
- Off-sides: Not illegal.
- Passing back to keeper: Legal, but cannot use hands (no limit on number of passes back to GK during a possession)
- Indirect free kicks (Handling the ball by GK w/ hands on a
pass from a teammate, ball not cleared w/i 4 sec, any other foul not
mentioned as a direct kick):
- Awarded in own penalty box, taken anywhere inside the box
- Awarded in opponents penalty box, taken from nearest point on the penalty box border
- Anywhere else: at the point of the foul
- Direct free kicks (hold, trip, kick, push, charge, slide tackle, or jump on an opponent; hand ball):
- If inside the opponents penalty area, a PK is taken (GK must stay on line)
- If in own penalty area, anywhere inside the penalty box
- Anywhere else: at the point of the foul
- 5+ foul rule: Not in effect -- will revisit if necessary. (Note: 2nd penalty mark not needed.)
- Fouls: Must give 5 yards.
- Send offs: A player that is issued 2 Yellow Cards or a Red card will be sent off the field. She may be replaced by a substitute immediately (no 2 minute rule).
- Kick-ins: All balls shall be kicked in by opposing team where
it fully crosses the touchline. Opponent must give 3 yards. Indirect
(cannot score directly from kick-in).
- Kick off: Must move ball forward, cannot touch 2 times, opponents must give 3 yards. Ball must be played within 4 seconds of setting up.
- Goal clearance: Indirect. 4 seconds. GK throws ball, it may not be thrown in the air past the 1/2 line. Opponents must vacate the penalty box.
- Corner kick: Direct. 4 seconds. 5 yards.
- Drop kicks: Not allowed. Although keeper may place ball on the ground and kick it.
